This cap is perhaps the first item to go "missing in action" in a 72-79 Bus# life. Lost or melted from overheating, if this plastic cap is missing, there is a loss of cooling air. That can spell disaster for the warmer running Type 4 based engine. Not only does it fit the Bus, but it fits all 411/412 Sedans/Wagons and all Porsche 914/4s. Obsolete from Volkswagen many years ago, it is now exclusively manufactured by Airhead/VWG.
