Entry #6 for Cruise date: Friday August 7th 2009.
Left the wine country from our stay in the Buellton/Solvang area and came across these outraged estranged ostracized Ostriches (actually they seemed rather mellow but my spell check came up with all these adjectives when I was trying to figure out how to spell the big birds name).
Pleasant drive through the rolling golden hills dotted with oaks as it is this time of year.
Most of the cruisers took in the Santa Barbara ZOO. It was unfortunate that the whale watching boat was out of commission, (failed a Coast Guard inspection) but so it goes.

The bar-b-cue was a great success and the tour of the warehouse was interesting since I had never done one and there was more to talk about than I thought.

Airhead Parts had the doors open for business and it was brisk given the 10%-40% off everything in the warehouse.
Then another party after the bar-b-cue at the host hotel Casa via Mar. Not only were the $1 drinks strong, they were $1 drinks!!! I don’t think ANYBODY lasted the whole two hours of the hotels “Attitude ajustment hour”.
There were also a couple of open grills in the back parking lot for the Bus folks. All in all it was a great way to end the cruise and relax before the Treffen 11 show the next day.)
