Enter Your VW (Year and Model)
AFTER CLICKING  button, results are for YOUR VW Model ONLY. Works when searching, or browsing "Categories". With your year and model selected, you can browse "CATEGORIES" or use "KEYWORDS" with confidence. Only parts fitting year and model selected will appear. If you wish, you may enter only Year, or Model, or nothing (All Years / All Models). For an overview of VW models and corresponding years, click here.
Searching by Keywords or Part Number
Words:
When searching by word(s), the search will look in both the name and description of items. We recommend you keep the phrase as simple/general as possible.
"Any of the Words": Finds all items containing at least one of the word(s) entered. (Broad search).
"All Words": Finds items containing all the words only. (Narrows search).
"Exact Phrase": If your really good or feeling lucking. (Super narrow search).
TIP: Avoid doing an "all the words" search with a long description like "fuel tank sending unit", as that may not be what we call it. (We call it a "fuel gauge sending unit").
Part Number:
Here you may enter words or an OE (VW) Part Number.
General Part Number Format: Three groups of three digits separated by dashes (no spaces): 123-456-789 (sometimes followed by a letter).
For some Bulbs and Fasteners - Format: ("N", followed by six digits, no dashes) N123456.
You may enter all or part of the part number, the less exact, the more search results. For an overview of the VW OE part numbering system click here.
Browsing CATEGORIES - Two ways to Browse:
1. With Year/Model Selected
You must hit the "Search" Button one time AFTER selecting Model/Year to show results. Without "Keywords/Part Numbers" box filled in, you will see details of ALL items we carry for your car. You can now browse these pages, or pick a particular Category, (or go back to Keywords search if you like). However you go, you are "locked in", showing compatible items only while browsing. (Like a catalog made only for your Year and Model) You must hit "Search" again after changing Year/Model (If ordering for separate cars for example).
2. Without Year & Model Selected
Go straight to the "Categories" section you desire. Pick from the list of general items.
Example: If you're looking for the sending unit described in "TIP" above, simply go to the ELECTRICAL section, and click on "Gauges, Switches & Senders". This will give you a list of subcategories, then click on "fuel gauge sending unit" for item details. |
